I have nothing but endless contempt for the entire pop music industry. Occasionally at work they’ll have pop country on, and they’ll be interviewing some fat dipshit “artist” who will say something like “Well, originally ‘Red Dirt on my Big Truck’ was going to going to go to Bubba Booba, but Bubba done called me up and said ‘Chet Chetkins, this song is perfect for you!’ And that’s how I ended up recording it.” I’ve heard this exact story about a dozen different pop country songs and I have no reason to believe any of these retards are performing anything… Read more »

The main problem the industry has for AI music is that you can’t copyright anything that was created by AI. So if they make a song that is completely AI they can sell it but so can anyone else. And changing that would require a completely new precedent that established LLMs as having personhood.
