As a young millennial, the degradation of the internet (and vidya game), UI, etc hits really hard. Having grown up when shit used to work, have intuitive designs, and wasn’t designed to milk all of your time and attention, it depresses me just how much all of this cool shit has been ruined.
I can only imagine what being Gen X is like.

Sven there is an easy way of fixing yourtube shorts. Just replace /shorts/ with /v/ in the URL and it turns in to a normal youtube video.
Even though Cobra Kai was Burger King Kids Club casting, it was still a guilty pleasure of mine.

It almost sounds like Mike may have only had trouble with one leg of his main electrical service and that’s why only some breakers tripped.

I live 40 minutes from u guys in nj. I’ve had multiple multi day power failures summer year. I’ve installed a generator transfer switch and a phase plug for the generator. It’s maddening.

Chinese has to use latin characters for phonetics, developing pinyin quite recently for the task. Meanwhile, the Japanese had this figured out for thousands of years because they adapted foreign language (Chinese) into their own. It handles phonetics cleanly, while Chinese kind of got stuck because of their linguistic isolation. It’s a bit ironic, considering they had more contact with outside groups throughout history.

There’s a famous story called Flatland that attempted to explain what a 2D world would look like and how incomprehensible a 3D creature would be to them
A couple of mediocre films have adapted it but they’re still a fun watch if you want to contemplate dimensionality
I remember reading this back in the day. It’s very funny!

If you want a great example of Chinese poetry, look up Star Gauge. tldr; it’s a grid of Chinese characters that can be read in any direction. Pretty much impossible to translate.

Sven should randomly get up and start that chainsaw on the table. Maybe whenever McNabb starts talking.
That would just make McNabb launch into a rant about how Sven is starting it wrong.
That said, I do think he should do a live drop-starting lesson on the show. That’s what the video is for, after all!
My favourite sci fi is the 3 booby problem

Russia is taking over Donettes and Luhansk. I prefer powder, but it is a messy one, so crumby is the pragmatic choice if you’re not around a sink.
I was thinking Moike was talking about the back surgery for a second too!
