Episode 1516 today, and that was actually a notable year. That’s when the Bavarian Purity Law was enacted, standardizing hops as the bittering agent in beer brewing. Before that, people used all kinds of botanicals including henbane, which contains scopolamine. It would dry out the mouth of the drinker, making them drink even more, and eventually the deliriant hallucinogenic properties of scopolamine would kick in. Good times.
Gas grills used to be a FUCKING NIGHTMARE to assemble. Flat pack Chinese manufacturing fixed all of that though.
