It’s the Night of the Greek Shitters as Spectre, Nike and Dark Enlightenment dive right into Homer’s The Odyssey and Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey by Christopher Nolan which are two separate things. We discuss what The Odyssey is since it’s clear almost no one talking about either has read more than the Spark notes for the damn thing. We are back and Outis (nobody) can stop us.

Okay, having actually listened to this episode, I’m starting to think that everything called “woke”, everything from feminism to faggotry, from toxic masculinity to brazen anti-White policies, and all the rightoids fecklessly critiquing Hollywood or “reclaiming America”, its all pointing White men to the deployment van.
“Why aren’t they prepping the goyim the way they did for Iraq?”
They are.
Are you guys talking about the WC Bryant translation?
I’m more concerned that people would expect something pro-White from Jewish Hollywood at this point.
While there is definitely no monoculture anymore, I noticed that there’s been cultural interest and conversation about the Odyssey and Ancient Greece from normies to stark contrast with America’s 250th anniversary. I think Dark Enlightenment is ironically talking about the Angel Studios’ Young Washington movie where their movies are notorious for their “pay it forward” system which they did for the Sound of Freedom movie. Also Jews love to occupy space in regards to classical studies almost like a dragon hoarding treasure away from lowly peasants. The treasure has no emotional attachment to the dragon but it knows its value… Read more »
Good analogy.
There’s a fairly faithful Richard III set in the 30’s using fascist imagery with Ian Mckellen. It doesn’t really affect the story, it just makes for cool uniforms and Boar’s Head banners.
I’m cool with modern takes, when done well.
I think this one was.
Kurosawa could adapt the Hell out of some Shakespeare too.
I have the old Alexander Pope translations of The Iliad and Odyssey from Easton Press.
What’s the word on these particular translations?
I’m reading the Pope Odyssey and it’s a difficult read. It’s almost its own work honestly. Fagles is probably the best modern translation, also Stanley Lombardo is another good one. Don’t let me scare you away from Pope, but it’s very poetic and a very very slow read.
I think the boys here are talking about the WC Bryant translation which is on the imperium press website.
The Odyssey already made back it’s budget. The rightoid talking point of get woke go broke has once again been proven wrong.
The idea of voting with your wallet is fundamentally pointless. Unless you have state power, you cannot as an individual effect any meaningful change on a scale larger than a local community.
I’m not going to see the movie cause I think it’s gay and stupid and bad, not for any political reason. If you want to effect political change, then every waking moment should be seeking state power, not vociferously exclaiming that you disagree with a product and won’t be buying it.
Faggots
You magnificent bastards!
You read my mind!!!
Truly, our Bronze Age has been perverted.
Wait, so is Nolan’s new movie The Odyssey— or a new Christopher Nolan story inspired by The Odyssey?
In a story written not by Homer, but by another guy with the same name, Matt Damon plays Odysseus, but not that Odysseus, just another guy with the same name, and he goes on an Odyssey, but not that Odyssey, just another adventure with the same name.
Is it a simulation of a simulacrum?
It sounds like it may be Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey by Tyler Perry.
I saw it on opening night and went in with zero expectations. The unevenness of the writing and performances kept me from ever really getting into the story. I also never felt the sense of “scale” I saw referenced in so many reviews. Most scenes felt small and filmed on soundstages, even when ostensibly on location. I’m not familiar enough with the technical aspects of filmmaking to explain why that might have been.
It wasn’t the worst thing I’ve ever seen, overall a 6/10 perhaps. But I don’t ever need to see it again.
I don’t watch movies anymore, but I can imagine the overshooting, pointless re-shoots to accommodate bad script choices, negress shoehorning to the max, the “small” feeling, probably bad lens choices and that “flatness” everyone talks about that comes from composite digital imaging. Not to mention the ad campaign for the film – so desperate – “it’s gonna be epic, trust me, bro” – it’s all very American. Just as the facade of our hegemony crumbles, so goes our media projections. Burn it all. I’m done.
Thats what I said, it was fine. Nothing special, not terrible…. Just… fine.
I strongly disagree with Spectre here. I don’t care about hyperreality. The movie was complete trash. It was disjointed. The acting was shit. The California English broke immersion. The mentally ill patient Ellen Paige in pivotal scenes broke story immersion. Sub Saharan Africans and South Asians in critical roles. People in the theatre were squirming in their seats. The guy next to me put the recliner all the way up and covered his eyes for the last hour. You can feel the discomfort all around you. The storm and lightning scene was terribly done and was almost seizure inducing. I… Read more »
That’s a valid takeaway I get it.
I guess i have to make a random text file to explain to future me why one episode is missing.
Anyway I wont mention it again thanks for the show.
Edit: well with the exception of mentioning that you are celebrating episode 399 when it happens. 😛

My threat to riot (metaphorically) paid off!
It was a moral imperative to keep the peace 😏
Sure was!
I’m still open to choosing something else to riot about
The continued existence of niggers, jeets, and jews I think is a pretty good reason.
