I dunno. The LED lightbulbs legitimately sucked when the law was passed. They were the ugly curly ones that gave off terrible light. They’re a lot better now.

Sven, you mentioned it but I use MediaMonkey to automate syncing files and playlists. It can be configured to export playlists in various formats with options like modifying filenames and setting slashes to windows or unix style.
Also no one asked but the RRoD was a sign of a general hardware issue, but the big one that was causing issues was low TG underfill in the GPU. This is a design flaw in the hardware and no amount of extra cooling will fix or prevent it from failing.
i used to use it when i was still on windows, not anymore

A buddy of mine went to India to work on a development project through his college like 10-12 years ago. One of the tests they did required the use of mercury. After the test they brought it back to be disposed of which there’s supposed to be a specific way of diffusing it I guess. The American educated Indians in the lab dumped enough mercury to kill a whole town down the water drain. The same drains he discovered later on ran out to the ocean.
It’ll dilute itself and get remediated by soil bacteria, eventually, thankfully it will just sink.

Dimming is where LEDs fall far short.
Flickering often becomes a problem depending on how many bulbs are on the circuit and how they affect each other once dimmed.
Incandescents have full dimming range and never a flicker. And the warmth of a dimmed incandescent is unmatched.
I use both depending on location and purpose.

I bought an HP Omen several years ago, still going fine. That said, NEVER buy (((dell))), that company is literally jewish. Check that early life. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Dell
The thing about laptops, every manufacturer has a consumer line and an enterprise line. The consumer products are all garbage and you shouldn’t waste your money on them. The enterprise products are overall better with a much nicer build quality usually easier to repair. Dells and HPs are pretty commonly used, you can find some really good laptops in very good condition used. Corps will generally do a hardware refresh when the warranty expires after around 3 or 4 years and the old ones usually end up on ebay.
