Live from Skyrim! (sorta) it’s the Norway episode. This is the lost #383, where Spec traveled north of the Winterhold to Lauritz’s hygge house to hike, lift and reflect on 10 years (10 years!) of Third Rail with the man glacier and how things have changed for us and the world. Nike joins us remotely as we celebrate this transatlantic axis of TRS Radio. It’s a once a decade experience you won’t want to miss. I sure didn’t.

Since you’re in Norway, you should try the local hipster brew Nøgne Ø. As far as expensive hipster brew goes, they hit the hardest. If you like lots of taste, go for a barrel agreed special, or one with lots of “sødme” (directly translates to sweetness I believe, but in beer context, mean more like thickness) these are found in Vinmonopol with øl+ meaning they have a larger selection of beers. There’s one on the Strømsø side of Drammen and one in Asker and many more. These beers are diabolically expensive, but since beers are just expensive in general in… Read more »
You were in Norway talking to a Norwegian and you didn’t do the World Cup Viking “Row!” chant?
Son, I am disappoint.
It was recorded before the start of the World Cup.
wtf Lauritz has the same wifi password as me
I went to Oktoberfest at the Sierra Nevada brewery in Chico. The beer Lauritz is talking about was fucking incredible straight from the tap. Nothing but thousands of white people dancing on picnic tables under one big tent.
Sierra Nevada Pale Ale was amazing when I was a novice beer drinker in California in the 1980s and it still tasted just as good (not on tap) on the other side of the country a few years ago. They haven’t sold out to one of the conglomerates apparently, which often happens shortly before the good brews either disappear (Anchor Steam) or slowly degrade in quality (many such cases).
ayo im from texas. time to go norway. have been to other parts of europe. i didn’t notice i had one from living here my whole life.
Until I went there ofc
I bought a $25 hunk of Norwegian salmon a few weeks back and grilled it out, holy fuck it might have been the best I ever tasted.
Im waiting for episode 1488
what a treat.
I’m an enjoyer of Lost Episodes.
Even if I rename the 3 last episodes it is still only going to be at 385. This download is named 386. I know you think this is funny but it is absolute fucking ass to keep track of the episode numbers now….. I do not want to come off as ungrateful because I do love the show. However this ends I always be grateful towards you guys. But still I have to ask, but why? Is this just how I will have to live now renaming all the episodes and double check them each time to make sure I… Read more »
This kind of archival spergery is just a reminder that, in the event of total TRS server collapse, I’ll be the one listening to whatever the last file I downloaded was. I’m sure some of y’all will be cycling through FTN episodes like its 2019. TDS will all be irrelevant, but endless recycled unc jokes await you in the dystopian, Third Rail re-run future.
Speaking of FTN for all his fault Jazzhands is the only one that has ever managed to properly name his show files.
Out of all the shows I have ever listened to, not just on TRS.
I started to wonder how it is done in Germany and Japan, If the shows there too have proper naming conventions or just a random slapdash as seem to be the standard in the rest of the world.
So this is the actual episode 383, right?
So what happened to 382 then?
