I’ve always been a CD guy and got into vinyl recently. Definitely a collector, but something else I like about it is it makes it easier to choose. My wife and I have been buying DVDs from the local op shop (I think you yanks call them thrift stores) for $1 a pop and it’s just better. I never thought about it much but I was under the impression that drop starting a chainsaw have a very low chance of doing a “kick back” making the chain spinning out of control and pushing the blade up against your face or shoulder. Yeah recently watched both Dune and Children of Dune mini series. They are great, the only thing keeping them down is the low production budget. But even with that I liked some of the sets, like the palace in Arrakeen.

I liked the first new Dune. The Fremen aren’t all Black. The most powerful groups, the Harkonnen, Atreides, Bene Gesserit, and Sardaukar are all White. I’m more offended by the Jew Chalamet cast as the hero than a few Black extras. The second new Dune is notably more diverse.
