Sex scandals don’t work in America because Americans are generally amoral people with respect to anything involving sex. This especially includes right wingers and the dissident right. The apologia for the Mckevitt threesome scandal is why I have zero moral expectations for this country. Nothing enrages Americans more than when you ask for a modicum of standards, discipline, and self-control regarding sex.
