Generational Theory cherry-picks to make history fit the theory rather than the other way around. Even when grounded in actual events recounted with reasonable accuracy in good faith, the error lies in the selection of what to focus on and how to interpret they ways in which the selected “relevant facts” interrelate.
Also like I said on the show generations being treated as vastly different is a product of mass media and marketing. The old and the young have always butt heads of course, but creating set identity markers for them is a modern fabrication.

I think you two are correct. Especially now that enough time has passed since the 4th turning was written and it hasn’t played out as predicted. Neil Howe still makes the rounds on financial podcasts. People managing billions of dollars still take him seriously. The theory has been updated to fit the current reality. There’s even a 4th turning ETF you can invest in.
