We’re doing an experiment to pinpoint specific video issues. Tell us which player you used most, which you prefer, any problems you had with either player, and what browser and/or device you’re using for it.
Chrome on Android working fine, shortly paused yesterday when you rolled out the new player but picked back up flawlessly streaming video.
New player works great for me stream is running smooth. Using PC and Brave.
Using the new one. Two devices that I switch between, PC/Brave and mobile Android/Brave.

New player, Chrome on Windows 11. Fine so far.
I’m testing new video applet on brave IOS, brave windows, and Libra wolf windows (hardened Firefox) and works great on all 3. In the past I’ve had the most problems with the old video streaming applet (second one), on brave iOS / windows. It is currently giving me problems as we speak, but the first one (new one) is working without a hitch. Will report back if anything changes.
Firefox and Samsug default internet browser on my Android phone, my issue is if someone farts in the direction of my internet connection the players spaz out in a fit reconnecting and reloading that ends in like a ws socket error which I don’t know what that means forcing me to reload the page and have to start the video over. Even not watching the video, the videos like frequently reload and reload.
New worked on android on brave, the old did not work.
I was listening to the audio stream. hit play on the video simultaneously and it played instantly, no real lag. stream quality is crispy and smooth

okay so there is a lag between audio and video but the video player responsiveness is very fast
New player works well on Firefox Android. I just have to select the NEXT SOURCE and it works. Old player didn’t work for me.
What are the reasons we can’t download the Shoah, and other non-live content, in video-format? Piracy? I’d assume one could anyways (people are sharing Netflix video), and the mp3 audio version could always be pirated. Are there current subscribers who’d stop paying if they found pirated video (I wouldn’t)?
I’m just curious, as it would presumably solve a lot of problems with the player(s). I still grab the occasional old ep of the still working MEGA links. Yes, many are gone, but most would grab within a week, if the video is gone 7 years later, not really an issue..

Issues still on Brave and Chrome on iPhone14. Might just be the device. Video plays on next source but page doesn’t stop refreshing for some strange reason. Does the same under desktop option
Brave and Firefox on Windows 11. In both cases the new player will just randomly reload itself. Sometimes it seems to infinitely reload the player, other times it will give a socket error. That issue aside, the new player seems to be much more tolerant of scrubbing and pausing. It’s also much quicker to initially start playing.

I click ‘Download show MP3’ every time I want to listen to any show and I never have any issues at all. iPhone.

iPhone / Brave. New player worked fine yesterday live. Doesn’t work this morning on the replay, keeps refreshing.
New one is not stable on Brave for Android when I have inconsistent connection when in the subway. I like that I’m able to change the playback speed however.

Usually watch using Brave on win11, but it’s all fucked up there for me with random reloads and a number of dif crashes. Works a little better on Firefox, but it still randomly resets(just less or at least it feels like it) or will reset if you leave it paused for a bit.
