I hate Marxists as much as the next guy, but the culture of having to pay for an expensive car and drive everywhere in heavy traffic then struggle to find parking is the worst. Just go to Europe and see how much better things can be with trains and other public transit.
I know that this is a huge problem that can’t be solved by placing a few miles of rail down, but God I wish travel was easier here.

My sister moved to Ireland a couple of years ago. She can travel across Ireland for around 15 bucks, whatever that converts to in euros. The problem with North America and rail is if you build rail between cities, upon arrival at the new city you’ll still be reliant on cabs and uber to get around which is still prohibitively expensive. Especially outside of the larger cities.
