Aqua Teen Movie was the first movie I specifically remember calling “slop” when I saw it with my bro in the only theater that was playing it. Had high hopes but like sben said they take out Carl at the outset and none of the bits in the movie are at all funny. My mom’s third birth experience at a hospital in Spain was so negative that she decided to resist going in until the last possible minute for birth number 4. She nearly bled to death in a barn, then went on to have 2 more perfectly without incident at hospitals. The last one she asked to try an epidural, (having done 5 without), and they refused because NHS. The problem isn’t the location, but the people and ideologies involved. I think a lot of today’s obesity can be chalked up to drinking a lot of calories. Juices, sodas, candy coffee with flavored cream. That shit adds up. I used to drink tons of soda and dropped weight just be quitting that.
Most of today’s obesity is related to portion size, which in turn influences what Americans think a normal sized meal is. Single servings in American restaurants are sufficient to feed four people. It’s disgusting.

I started a more physically demanding job on night shift, and I’ve lost like 20 lbs from the combination of stimulants (ephedrine, caffeine and nicotine) suppressing my appetite and getting more exercise. Despite being at pretty much an ideal weight now, I’m constantly hungry on my days off. That’ll make you eat until you’re fat.
Some of these obese cretins they have to deliberately go out of their way to get as hefty as they are even with today’s terrible slop diets. The creatures I see on a daily basis in my work would turn a layperson’s stomach.

I can believe doctors push pitocin for their own convenience, but I think the proper thing would be to just have the state not allow that, rather than saying women should give birth somewhere where if something did go wrong, they would necessarily have a delay in getting the treatment they need.
