I kinda would like for there to be an Android based PC OS, just as another option if Mac and Windows are gonna go full slop. Something structured enough to be navigable, but modular and tweakable enough for anyone’s needs. Only downside is that in western markets, google has android in a ball gag, and any version of android that isn’t the Galaxy skin which actually has native internally based apps like a basic photo gallery (and not 2nd party google ecosystem crap) is just google:the device. It would just be chromebook all over again.

you don’t actually have to know how to do anything on the command line in 2026. you just install claude type claude and have claude do everything for you in the command line. that being said i wouldn’t use it for AV.

I’m dumping microsoft! they keep harassing me to subscribe to office 360. I bought a program of office 2016 and it was supposed to be good forever but they’re canceling support for it. I heard Lenovo is building computers with the Linux program. but I’m trying to coordinate my cell phone and my tablet or laptop so it all has the same calendar app and stuff like that. Linux just sounds too complicated and like a pain in the ass
Apple is hard to hack and has a privacy by default standard. Only state actors could effectively hack it if you’re doing things right and not falling for phishing scams etc. Google will sell all your shit and is open by default rather than private by default. If you can afford it, an iPhone/Mac setup with Advanced Data Protection, Signal, and Open Office is what you want.

Linux literally just works and gets better every update. You maybe had an argument like this 10-20 years ago but that’s not the case anymore. A retard friendly distro is literally easier to use then modern Windows/OSX. At this point it’s your fault for not using it. Enjoy your shitty jeetware.
