He really is, I’ve struggled with same building engineering hobby shit, I think it’s crap like fuck the tolerance is out by 1mm on this thing, people who look at it “holy fuck how did you do that”, reminds of the old saying “no work is finished, merely abandoned”.
AI helps me do my job *enormously*. Given little instruction, it can autonomously complete high-complexity tasks trivially that would have been several days per task, at a clip of probably 10x as fast. Anyone who hasn’t had this experience hasn’t leveraged these tools. The only benefit this has thus far given is me working in bursts and returning the same drip of work I always did at the same speed because management doesn’t know yet that you can replace 10 employees with 1 employee using Claude Code. Jesse – nothing beats being in a band with people you can get along with and rock out with. Still worth it – even with band drama. I’ve been in 8 bands since my high school ska band. They all lasted at least a few years, with decent gigs and recordings, too. When I got married and my kid was born, I lost interest. Good on you for keepin the vibes alive. I understand 100% wanting to break from the 1-man-band. The work I’ve done solo is NEVER satisfying.

we were pretty jazzy. we picked the best horn players in the school band and sorta forced them to join our band. eventually it became a 9 piece. i had played in a regional big band before that, so def the latter.
