Did you ever listen to Unexpect? Their last 2 albums are the ones that really stood out.
Unexpect was kind of run of the mill melodic black metal. And then they made 2 really interesting and unique albums that I would have a hard time categorizing. And then I guess they simply disappeared. The really good albums were In a Flesh Aquarium, and Fables of the Sleepless Empire

I was listening to your podcast in my car. Really I think Red Triangle sounded overall good in the a b test. I do hear what you’re talking about, your critiques are spot on but it’s very subtle. To my ear the brightest part of Red Triangle that’s still a little thin or sharp sounding is something to do with the cymbals.
