I see these jubilee things and I would mop the fucking floor with the people across the table. But I’m also 39, and as Mike pointed out, these are college kids.
They should really continue this format but with educated adults. These kids are sharp, at least some of them are. But it takes a long time to really get astute at combating all of their little gotchas
Is this debating style traditional? Is it taught in debate class or Law? To me this style comes off like nigger argumentation. If a participant becomes discomfited or overcome by consternation then his opponent is declared victorious. Its fucking obnoxious. Im surrounded by rapid speak people at work. It seems like a language glitch or trend they have picked up.
When our guy is making an important point, the half cast just jumps in, interrupts and sidetracks. Seems like a rhetorical technique that might be taught in a debate class or law school.
