Sven, if this song pumps up one glorious combatant to “win a battle” against one greasy kike, then it was all worthwhile. Though, he’ll probably be too distracted wondering what nigger scooped the mids out of the mix! Seriously, good job, man.
I took time off podcasts on vacation again so I’ve been listening to TDS on 1.3x speed trying to catch up. I like the song! One thing that stuck out to me in the mix (listening on Sennheiser HD 560s), which could be a deliberate decision or a bit rate issue, is that the rhythm guitars seem to not have a lot of presence or that high sizzle.
My major struggle this entire time (6+ years) has been taming the 6kHz fizz area. I ALWAYS make guitar sounds that are super fucking bright, and I’m always stomping on my guitars from 2kHz and upwards trying to tame it. I’ve probably gone too far.
I just did another mix where I backed off that stomping a touch and we’ll see what happens.
Catchy riffs and great solos, like the fact you can easily hear the words when you’re singing as well

I have stomach problems, and one of the things that really upset it is craft beers. I’ve had more than a few nights ruined because I’d try a new one and have terrible cramps all night after 1 or 2 drinks. The song is excellent Sven, well done! So far I’ve only listened on my phone with some average earbuds and I think the mix is pretty solid. I’m keen to check out how it sounds through my good Sennheiser headphones and in the car later. I can see what a long journey you went through to get to that final mix, it’s impossible not to feel worn down by it. Nintendo is very hands on with their projects and especially so when they lend out their IPs. They learned that lesson from the first Mario Movie and those Zelda CD-I games.
I am suspicious of adults who stan for Nintendo games. Nostalgia? Sure. Playing them? Naw
