Retinal scanners for MFA are real, but they’re very uncommon, mostly because there are much better biometric factors to use for a number of reasons (reliability, risk of spreading infections, issues with retinal lattice map changes, etc.). They’re also different from iris scanners which can likewise be used for biometric access controls. As a side, if you’re planting an explosive on something, fitting it into any kind of eye scanner seems kind of pointless and unnecessarily complicated for the effect you’re trying to achieve.

We have counties, which is basically a manageable administrative area. Somerset is a county. I did say in the post it’s in South West England, so no tartan or kilts there I’m afraid.
