Didn’t TRS coin the term “Nigger Fatigue”? I recall hearing that years ago, now even mainstream people are talking about “Black Fatigue”.

A scanner darkly was not a note for note remake. I read the book and enjoyed it. I watched the movie a couple of weeks later and couldn’t follow the story because of how story beats were moved around. That was years ago and I can’t recall specifics but general impression.

There’s a Calibre for Mac, but last I looked they’ve been making it harder and harder to de-DRM through it. Like, I vaguely remember having to use an older version of Calibre and stick w/ Catalina for a while. Idk maybe they’ve caught up now.

It’s funny you mention Latinx negresses because I’ve been encountering more and more coal black Africans who only speak Spanish. It really is something out of H.P Lovecraft’s nightmares and even gives the typical brownoid Mestinx pause when you hear chirpy ear rape Mexican peasant Spanish from a nigga who you’d think would speak just a “bubububu” African language.

Those awesome old school book cover art pieces were made to sell books, especially horror paperbacks and other genre fiction pulps.

A lot of modern fiction across the board is utter trash due to how much of the neolib presuppositions poke through and it just takes you out of the setting. There’s a reason why 40k and Helldivers have such strong followings and it’s because they’re totally detached from contemporary ideology (a bit less so with Helldivers but the point still stands).
