It strikes me that Lu might be the only school shooter whose manifesto has something interesting to say. Apparently some of it was published in the book Deadly Scholarship. Used copies are pretty cheap on Amazon.

As someone who hardly knew anything about school shooters before listening to this, it interesting how little they have to say really. Just reading what that wrote makes them come across as pathetic. Helps remove any mystique around them.

I enjoy seinen manga and anime, Naoki Urasawa is my favorite, so it puts me adjacent to anime fandom, and you know I have bile fascination
I guess he is good at a buildup, but his payoffs are never worth the wait, I would say. The one dimensional characters and exhausting anti-notsee ideology baked into so many of his works just puts me off. Surprising you can see past all this to still like his manga. I remember when the parkland shooting happened and then when we found out someone there was moving to our school. none of us in our friend group ever thought of him as a this figure who survived a shooting like that. we knew him through out the rest of high school and until our senior year we remembered he was apart of it but never asking.
