Dude the reason it sucks is because every story is limited by the author’s worldview. The characters just don’t make sense besides the edgy lolbert. And his ideal world would just be Elon musk as king of everything.
Sure, but that is true of every author in anything, but you can have a talented storyteller who can write a solid fantasy story yet be an utter retard politically. Lord Of The Rings is one such case. When the writer’s retarded politics (their area of novice) start entering an otherwise decent fantasy work (their area of expertise) it basically pollutes it.
I don’t think that’s possible though. As above so below. Lord of the rings has moral values that were imprinted upon Tolkien from the culture in which he emerged. It takes an amazing author who is aware of that and constantly vigilant to not let their own beliefs leak into the story. I just wish we had the watchmen written by Hitler or something.
