the confederacy was the only thing i liked about star wars because it was interesting blend of ideas in a cool situation that didnt feel unrealistic and didnt just rehash ww2 mythology like every single piece of media does which is by now agonizing to my mind.
but that was when i was a kid, what even is star wars anymore nowadays.

You can see the gargoyle coming out of her now, but seeing her chained to a post in episode 2 was pretty kino. The pose drew her butt cheek up like a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I’d still like to see her chained up today, but for different reasons.

don’t tell sven about the 12 hour phantom menace analysis by the bread circus
I’ve listened to that while at work. It is half-cope, half-“huh that’s interesting”. The problem is, it takes TWELVE HOURS to explain how a 2 hour movie is “good”, but the actual movie in … motion, it largely falls apart aside from the combat scenes.
Episode 1/2/3 are still not good.
In fact, the only saving grace of the prequels are the good video games that had better stories than the movies that came out thanks to them.
Getting through more of prep, Boba Fett was used extensively in the “Expanded Universe” (non-movie media). From comics, to novels, to video games. You fight him in Star Wars: Dark Forces, though he survives of course. He just looks cool because of his armor and he uses a jetpack.
Everything else about him was filled in by the Expanded Universe, and his bounty hunter adventures are infinitely more interesting than the prequel/sequel movies.

Hot take: the original 3 Star wars are crap too. Mark hamill is on the same tier as the Anakin actor. And the heckin ewoks? Just as corny and same tier as jar jar binks and that dumb alien race.
Star wars suffers from the same symptom as boomer music, it’s boomer film from when boomers were younger so it’s great in the way that we’ve been raised to believe the 60s and the hippies were great. 👎
