Listening to this through one headphone at work. Two seconds after you guys mention Judas Priest, “You Got Another Thing Comin” starts on the work radio. The only time they play metal is on the overnight shift.

In Seattle I see people wear problematic shirts all the time to metal shows all the time. I don’t get the impression Antifa is too activated. I was wearing NSBM, throwing romans, and crowd surfed at the last Seattle show I was at. TBH it seems impossible to police people with problematic merch because half the people wearing it are clueless.
Also, Marduk deserves more credit. They’re the most popular black metal “Nazi” band, and after getting “cancelled”, they doubled down and released an album from the WW2 German perspective called “Victoria”. They’ve successfully gotten away with everything while pushing everything to the limit of what you can get away with in the metal scene. And AFAIK they’ve never pandered or denied being national socialists.

I have a few “based” patches on my jacket I wear to a lot of metal and punk shows in my area (including a custom Svenpai one) and no one’s ever said anything or showed they noticed/cared.
I remember the Albany, NY punk/ska/metal scene circa 2003-4 had members of something called F.S.U (Friends stand united) which eventually became (Fuck Shit Up). They were supposedly straight-edge and would go to shows with their FSU shirts on and basically wait around for ‘that guy’ to get too drunk or too excitable in the pit and try to fight him or kick him out. I know I’m on the right website when the cast talks about ANUS and deconstructs it (i.e. pointing out the Jew). That website shaped my taste in music. Death was highly overrated for two reasons.. Chuck Schuldiner was half Jewish and he died from brain cancer at the young age of 34. Morbid Angel, Obituary, Deicide, Cannibal Corpse, and Hate Eternal, all are way more talented.
Leprosy is just such a good album though. Morbid Angel is pretty good and some Deicide’s stuff is good but if I listen to death metal it’s more likely going to be heavier stuff like Incantation or Nile. Death comes across more as heavy metal than straight up death but idk it’s before my time. Too bad he’s a kike, I didn’t know that but that leprosy album is so good.
