I see people arguing that the CEO is just a fall guy for the corporate board and in a way I agree. He is a fall guy, one who takes millions in dollars to be one in the case that corporate policy goes wrong. For him every dollar his subordinates save by denying critical health care to people and their families is a nice fat addition to his christmas bonus. If this corporate policy inspires violent retribution then it is his duty to take it upon himself, it’s the least he can do.

Mike I am assuming you were getting your poor diagnoses from orthopedic surgeons? They are notorious for being very rigged in their ability to effectively diagnose pathology. If there isn’t anything significant on an MRI or X ray that they can cut, drill, or repair….they’re at a loss. Neurosurgeons are definitely more savvy in their diagnostic skills which would make sense if they found a bone spur protruding your spinal cord as that region is their jurisdiction!

Regarding Mike’s story about MRI. I had Blue Cross Blue Shield and went in for MRI one time. They charged for two separate MRI’s for thoracic and lumbar sections of spine. I had to pay the deductible for both. These are the tricks.
