I don’t really care for turkey specifically, but I love Thanksgiving. The overall spread tastes amazing when it’s all put together. I also like seeing my extended family. Of course, they don’t let me near the kitchen so I don’t do any of the actual cooking myself.

Specifically, I’ve noticed an increase in “service animals” that are clearly no such thing. Like, ma’am, your chihuahua “assistant” just shat in the canned goods aisle.
This actually happened at my work a couple days ago. “Service” dog urinated on the rug. At least the owner cleaned it up, but still. I get wanting to bring your dog places, but there are some spaces where a dog’s presence is simply inappropriate.

The issue of food sacrificed to idols was ultimately whether Christians should totally seperate themselves from pagans (The way jews did via Kosher laws) or whether Christians should be allowed to go to Greek and other festivals where animals were sacrificed to pagan gods for dinner. One place I worked at years ago, the only place nearby for lunch was Subway, so I tended to eat there regularly. I mean, after putting on the pickles, onions, peppers, mustard, oil and vinegar, and on the Italian herb and cheese bread, it was tolerable. I didn’t die.
Only sub sandwiches I can stand are Tuna, everything else is just nitrates on a bun for me, save a good philly cheese steak.
