Black people poop outside the downtown library here. Sometimes, if he feels like it, the custodian will come out and hose it off the building and sidewalk. Other times it just stays there for a week or until it rains. Typically a pack of ten or so out-of-their-minds blacks will be hanging around in front of the building, jive-talking, scaring passersby, smoking crack, etc. To that extent the library can still be said to serve an educational purpose.

I used to use uber eats and doordash a lotand i would specifically tip bait (offer a really high tip for faster acceptance of delivery but then tip $0 lol) only to non-whites and uber eats actually made me thumb through a prompt that said something to the effect of “we noticed your tipping history and how this affected out diverse workforce, are you sure that you wanted this tip to be $0 for this delivery drive?”

In the film, Rapaport plays what is supposed to be a White TV executive, who green-lights a new show about plantation slavery in the style of a minstrel show. The library in my tiny mountain town had a phase of campers and gross RV’s perma-parked outside to smoke meth and utilize the WiFi. There was an outcry from the “community” (boomers on facebook) and they just recently renovated said library and for now, it seems nice and full of children…for now. The big to-do was when several home owners were opting out of the library district because they “didn’t like the library”.
