Sounds like Firaxis is dead. CIV7 trailer released and it’s a pure console game with as little micro as possible.
It was pretty clear that after XCOM: Enemy Within they had reached their peak.
XCOM 2 had its moments but the rot was there and since then has only gotten worse. Chimera Squad is fait accompli for Firaxis.
