I’ve actually thought about this before too. And in my opinion the last classical film score that was not only memorable and catchy. But also good from a musical standpoint, was the theme used throughout the Pirates of the Caribbean movies.
But even the original film from that series is now over twenty years old. So Sven’s point still stands firm. Pop culture died completely sometime in the mid 00s.
