The “jet fuel melting steel beams” thing was never even part of the official story. You can ctrl+f the NIST report for the word “melt” and get zero results. The actual explanation had to do with thermal expansion making the building structurally unstable, and not a single one of the conspiratards bothered to read that.
There was also the PBS documentary “how the towers fell” (I don’t remember the exact title) which explains how different the WTC construction was from a typical skyscraper. The floors were hung between the outer shell and the inner core. It wasn’t just the steel beams that were weakened by fire, it was the bolts holding the floors to the outer shell and the inner core. Once those gave way, the floors pancaked one on top of the other.
The towers pancaked precisely as they were designed to do.

Structural damage plus uncontrolled fires will collapse buildings. IIRC Ryan Dawson says they disabled the WTC fire suppression systems beforehand to get this result. Which is a more plausible theory than setting up thermite or explosives in the buildings which would have been damaged by the impact of the airplanes or falling debris.
