Electricity should be free. Even if only one percentagepoint of electricity being used ends up in some useful work being done. Lets say some one in a hundred electricity users, use that electricity use powertools. Then energy pays for itself, because whatever that one dude with a drill does, will be worth whatever that dude who blows dust off of solar panels, or observes concrete, or fix fallen powerlines or transformers or whatever else crap that needs to be done (using electricity mind you) Same could be applied for fuel. The Reich Labour Service literally drained swamps/wet lands to make usable land as part of Germany’s economic recovery.
In many areas of the country, almost all the wetlands are already gone so they’re getting to protect the surviving bits. They’re also a primary habitat and food source for a ton of birds, as well as deer and other animals.

The biggest institutional producer of CO2 is the US Military. Strangely enough, dismantling or severely dialing back the size and scope of the armed forces never seems to be on the menu of climate change solutions. Start with the National Guard. They have their own Air Force, and it’s completely useless.

This definitely isn’t about a guy humbly living in his car. “Homeless people” are a very specific niche of degenerates confined to cities that generally aggressively approach you for resources to obtain heroin.
I’ve been insulted and threatened personally by these people countless times because they assume being handsome means I’m also wealthy and carry around wads of cash to hand out to crack addicts.

I just became homeless in my van. My wife divorced me, and I wanted kids to have a stable place to stay. I have two jobs and don’t do drugs. My van has no ac lol I would like Sven to pay for it lol

Normal people teeter on the brink of homelessness every day due to rampant inflation on basic necessities and housing costs. You’re one crisis away from devastation.
This applies to both people renting and people renting their home from the bank via mortgage.
That being said “homeless people” are disgusting. You probably only see the pieces of shit that are far gone enough to approach you.
I have one months wages (combined income) in life savings and around $2000 put aside to save us going under immediately.
Without selling anything, we’d be stuffed after two months of no income.
