Say what you want about the genre….Thrice was THE best post-hardcore band of the 2000s. They weren’t a Christian rock band, they just had a couple of albums that were the lyrics were biblically inspired. They went from being a punk hardcore band, to experimental rock, to folk rock and were really effective at all three!

Weirdly enough, lead singer of Collective Soul is on an interview with Rick Beato that was put up a couple days ago. They had 7 #1 rock singles. Lead singer seems cool other than kind of being dressed like an old lady lol

Lol, Collective Soul is from my hometown. Their drummer or bassist one tried to sell some fishing poles and a guitar at a friend’s yard sale years ago, but was passed out on methadone the whole time.

The World I Know by Collective Soul was yuuuge. The video has a guy contemplating suicide on a rooftop but then he stops or something…it’s been a while since I’ve seen it.

I enjoyed Collective Soul a lot as a kid. Some of those songs still hit.
Nah, Hints Alegations and Things Left Unsaid has maybe one other very minor hit, where as Shine has been covered by Christian rock bands etc for years.
You might be thinking of Collective Soul’s second album which was eponymous and called the Blue Album. The Blue Album sold more than the first and had a lot more radio play singles like December, The World I Know, Gel, and Where the River Flows.
Collective Soul, like Líve rode the post-grunge Alt-Rock wave into popularity in 94 and 95.
Sonic Maximizer.

Where the river flows and weight were pretty big hits. Let your light shine down was def the biggest by far.
I had that nose balloon thing done a couple years back. Wasn’t that bad, but it didn’t really help as much as they said it would.

I’d much prefer to read some “and then everyone clapped’ dem thangs” stories.

Honestly, I know this will come to bite me, but I don’t care for disabled people. They’re annoying and demand too much leniency for being useless.

Hey that album that has Shine has 4 or 5 recognizable songs from that era.

Yes that’s the one. The second one had all the hits. Shine was on the first record definitely not one hit wonders then.
