Saw the Pietasters in some dingy shithole in Blacksburg in the late 90s. A crowdsurfing guy managed to kick the singer in the jaw. To his credit, the guy never missed a beat-he had a dish towel with some ice wrapped in it brought up, and he’d make horrible faces in between verses.

Worst thing about Dawson (after his crazy injun hair) is his constant calling for action in the US while he lives in Asia.
That and he always likes to show what a high trust ethnostate Japan is, as though it is a flex on WN, when it reinforces the entire WN worldview and undermines Dawson’s antiracism and libertarianism.
