All that remains wasn’t terrible at first but they definitely got there over time. This Darkened Heart and The Fall of Ideals were actually great albums. They’re a band I would classify into American melodic death metal more than metalcore but the metalcore scene is the one they were caught in the momentum of during the new wave of American heavy metal at the end of the 90s and early 00s.
