The hobbits literally expel an occupying goblin hoard from the Shire. Also, the ring isn’t power itself, but more like the cheat code to power, or at least the appearance of such a cheat code. So in that sense, the ring itself is quite redolent of jews. The ring wouldn’t have granted power to any of the hobbits to save the shire. They had to discover their own sense of power though facing trial and adversity in order to do that.

There’s nothing boring or simplistic about LOTR. Have you read the books and understood what you read? The hobbit is simplistic, for sure, but not LOTR. LOTR is so incredibly rich on so many different levels I can’t even put it into words how beautiful it is. And it’s more than just a narrative. It’s also an exhaustive treatise on morality and moral reasoning. Look up Gandalf’s speech from “The Last Debate” chapter. If it doesn’t make you weepy in some way, there’s something seriously wrong with you.
Dwarves supposedly being a stand-in for Jews just shows that Tolkien was naive and had extremely limited understanding of Jews. There’s a reason the ethnic default for Dwarves in popular culture is Scots, not Jews. Scots like Dwarves are thrifty/cheap, stubborn, bloody-minded, and they do engage in physical labor and they do their own fighting, they don’t trick others into fighting for them, they don’t subvert others’ culture and they don’t do usury, etc.

I think Reddit “niceness” boils down to being submissive in the face of social pressure on certain issues that effectively uphold state ideology.
The bad guys in CS Lewis’s last book of his sci-fi trilogy “That Hideous Strength” is literally an NGO called NICE. One of the goons working for NICE is ex-BUF (Oswald Mosley fascist).

It’s funny because Roald Dahl’s so called “antisemitism” came from his morality of treating people with kindness since he witnessed first hand the transition from British Mandate Palestine to the creation of Israel and was utterly disgusted by the Jews’ treatment of the Palestinians. I got Going Solo from a Scholastic Book Fair when I was in fifth grade. Maybe that’s where my natural disgust toward jews originated
