Not to rain on the parade, but “communism just decays into fascism” is a very old Jew-leftist line that has some truth to it. Basically, entrenched communist states just come to resemble fascism over time (maybe cause they both share socialist origins) as they reconcile both with the superior staying power of nationalism, and are forced into adopting state capitalism or even more liberal economies. Both Zeev Sternhill and Hannah Arendt were pushing this before Gregor. As were American “old right” libertarians and trots.
