When two people who have the same insurance company crash into each other. The insurance company assigns two different adjusters and they do infighting. I’m not kidding, lol the individual adjusters actually try to get their own guy to not be at fault. At the end of the day it doesn’t really matter to the insurance company. Since the money all comes from the same place. But I think that system is the result of some consumer protection laws. aka SOCIALISM!

The original The Incredibles movie had a critique of insurance where the dad is working for a health insurance company and gets in trouble for trying to help people actually make successful claims. The problem is the motivation for enriching the shareholders which is opposed to the interests of the policy holders; originally there were no shareholders it was insurance companies that were run for the interests of policy holders who pooled their resources behind a non-profit collective, but neoliberalism and the financialization of the economy means that now schlomo’s financial interests as shareholders are always top priority, not the… Read more »
