I know gym bro advice is gay, but walking at a consistent and brisk pace is more enjoyable and sustainable than jogging. Your heart rate still gets high and you avoid the trap of being out of breath and having to walk extremely slow to regain your breath. A lot of people jump right into cardio thinking that you have to run to get results, but you don’t. Just my 2 cents, it works for me.
A lot of people think cardio=running. Any form of exercise that raises heart rate consistently is cardio, therefore walking is cardio. If you want to run because you enjoy it or you want more stamina, go for it. But if you just want to maintain a healthy heart, a brisk walk will do that.
Right. Technically the idea is “Aerobic,” meaning to consume oxygen at an increased rate for an extended period of time.
