Always hated the aformentioned jock stereotype in school movies. Not only because it never held up to any person in real life that I’ve ever met, but now that I know what we know about cultural messaging in film, it’s like a backdoor way of discouraging White adolescents or their parents raising them away from being athletic/strong or being socially robust in any way.
(It’s also weird that jew directors always cast muscular grown ass men in the role since they’re supposed to be teenage kids)

The only thing in “Planes Trains and Automobiles” that even comes close to subversive is the “Those Aren’t Pillows!” scene. But that kind of off-color humor had already been in European literature for centuries, long before Jews were running everything. Even the Canterbury Tales has a joke about a horse farting in some guy’s face.
