Jazzhands should come back as an irregular. He should do what althype is doing; a long podcast or deep dive about what he is passionate about. He must also stop being so biased and black-pilled, offer up some white pills, and try finding some actual solutions. As a doctor you should not just diagnose a problem, you should not say it is fucked but also find a treatment.
I think a lot of podcasters with a regular and frequent schedule become burnouts and lose the initial passion they had for podcasting.

Ftn had a very good deep dive on micro loans with James allsup. Learned quite a bit. I agree though it was time to go. Onwards n upwards!

I don’t listen to JJ often enough. Glad I did to get the TRS story on Jazzhands. Liked his show, but this explains why he sounded off towards the end.
Overall I like Jazz but I always thought he was very negative and depressing to listen too. Much of what he said amounted to jews control everything and we are all fucked. At times it made me feel hopeless

I think Jazzhands was often misunderstood. A lot of the complaints I’ve seen about his takes were because someone was interpreting his position in a different way than I did, though I can’t say who would be correct.
I’ve tried to listen to FTN probably a hundred times since 2018, but it was always just an incredibly boring show and Jazzhands was never that entertaining or interesting compared to basically anybody who has a show on TRS. I didn’t even notice he was gone until this episode.
I think this was a reasonable way to discuss this stuff. Jazz, seems like a really nice guy and I’m sure he does great work selling whatever he sells back in RL, but it was all too evident from the first Trumpian betrayals that were pointed out by more prescient people (some of whom, like Matt Parrot, have since disgraced themselves by endorsing MAGA-style conservatism in the current year) that the right wing of the jew-ni-party system would never amount to anything. Definitely one of the ones who was chasing the nostalgic FTN dragon. It was the best back when it was an actual news show with Halberstram. It was still pretty good in my opinion after the Trump explosion, but I guess I never really noticed the bad takes except the Russia stuff. I never put as much stock into the takes from FTN as I would from other TRS shows after it switched its format. Shortly before it became a solo show it did seem like Jazz was going off the rails. If Mike Portnoy (yes I know) can come back to Dream Theatre after 13 years, hopefully one day in the future I’ll open up TRS and see season 2 of FTN at the top of the list.
Not gonna lie, I get a little sad when ever I hear the Jazzhands sound bite in the Third Rail intro
I still miss Jazzhands, even if things didn’t end well. I wish him the best and hope he’s doing well.

I’m one of those guys trying to figure out when I can lift. After work sucks because it pushes everyone’s dinner/sleep back. Before work sucks because who wants to get up at 5 and immediately lift heavy objects. I think I’ll have to suck it up and make mornings work, or just stop lifting. Very sad.
I hope all is well with Jazzhands. Overall, he and his cohosts put out some incredible content over the years. They’ll all always be remembered fondly by me.
I used to get up at 4 to lift before work on my last job. Upside was I felt great as my day went on. Downsides were forcing myself to get up and do it, and sleepiness leading to sloppiness and injuries.
I feel like the framing of Jazzhands situstion is a little wrong.
He didn’t get fired because of bad takes, because everyone has bad takes sometimes, he got fired because he had bad takes and too much of an ego to admit he was wrong (apparently).
I still think the black rock series was the most important / popular bit to come out of TRS, but what are you gonna do?
