Bourbon does not have to be made in Kentucky. Most of it is (or is at least aged there) due to the unique climate that happens to be optimal for the barrel aging process, but it is not a legal requirement.

Looked it up, and it says that to be classified as bourbon it has to be at least 51% corn and bottled at 80 proof or higher, and it has to be aged within the US for at least 2 years. There is a Welsh brewery that used a loophole to age their bourbon in the US for 2 years, then brought it to Wales and continued aging it over there. They sell it as Welsh Bourbon. I’ve watched about 95% of all of the episodes for the past 4 years or so and I’ve never been mad or attacked…but I’m a middle aged white guy with a wife and 3 kids. I also have seed oils in my house and had the jab to keep my job.
