There are a lot of issues with VR but the problem with it making people feel sick isn’t related to whether it’s tethered with a cable, the older gen tethered headsets were already low latency. The main issue is your brain getting thrown off by the mismatch of g-forces that your body feels vs what your eyes are seeing. It’s much like seasickness. I think the baby snake thing is mostly a myth. They might have marginally more concentrated venom, but I don’t think there’s strong evidence they’re incapable of a dry-bite. They are probably gonna give you a smaller dose than a full-grown adult though.
