The catalyst of the arab spring was obviously zog. “Perception of corruption” is something you need propaganda to create and inflation was something zog engineered woth economic attacks. That plus they had paid activists organizing on the ground.

Inflation and corruption being the main motivations for street action is very interesting, considering how widespread those are becoming in the liberal western world. Suffice it to say that political movements operating in the real world (NJP/PA/NP among others) will find fertile soil to grow a supporter base in, and with no competition for that soil.
Somewhat related but digital advertisement is such a meme. I’ll leave ads on for some gawntent creators on YT, and I’ve literally never bought anything in I’ve been advertised. But, there’s this game called Raid Shadow Legends that gets shilled everywhere, to the point where I just don’t trust the game and therefore have zero interest to check it out.
