The troll that the Russians didn’t field anything newer than the T-34 during their military parade celebrating their victory over Germany in 1945 is so fucking dishonest, everyone who’s honest understands that it’s a celebratory parade and it doesn’t make sense to use a T-14 because the Soviets weren’t using the T-14, most Russian soldiers aren’t using T-14s, they were using the T-34 and so you roll the T-34 down the avenue outside the Kremlin to evoke a sense of unity and victory. If America defeated Russia in WW3 and survived to hold a military parade ten years down the… Read more »
I don’t think Lauritz’s comments about baseball batting averages are any stranger than American comments about soccer (and soccer is popular in White America, there’s just a very vocal faction of soccer haters). I don’t know cricket very well but I know more than most Americans. yeah the sticky wicket would probarly be the ball not really bouncing at the wicket, but i could be wrong also playing the wicket could mean you only go for balls that are going for the stumps and not playing at balls that are not likely to hit the stumps, for americans replace the word wicket with strike zone to get a better understanding.
If I understand correctly “sticky wicket” isn’t even used much in British English anymore but Americans have started using it a lot more for some reason; sort of like how some Americans will use outdated upper class British slang from a century ago (Pip pip! Tallyho!) after watching too many episodes of Jeeves & Wooster.
I’d guess batting the wicket means adapting your batting style to the state of the wicket. Its not a term that’s used in general conversation though so only followers of the sport might pick up on it.
As the number of pajeet CEOs & H1B’s ever increase you will probably need to start brushing up on cricket terminology however.
Just from the title I was hoping Larry Ridgeway would be on lol.

Attack of titan is not a good product the main guy eren by the end of the manga turns into an incel, so complete character assaination by the author. Ive heard good things about vinland saga havent watched it yet myself but maybe lauritz would like because its set in scandanavia
Vinland saga got a tranny in it now. But its a pretty good shonen before this latest arc.
