But I have seen the reservations firsthand; the most acute and devastating problems faced by Indians are inherent to their culture. Take them out of the rez and they can integrate well. Maybe they’ll always have outsized instances of alcoholism and violence, but it would be so much less than if they were all on the rez stewing in their misery.

Striker, in particular, seems to be concerned that anti-government sentiment will continue even if the NJP was in control. Thing is: our current system literally hates Whites, so the sentiment is justifiable. If the NJP were in charge, I have a feeling even the most strident anti-government right-wingers would change their tune. COVID skepticism is just part and parcel with said anti-government feelings. Trying to fight that right now is futile in my opinion.
