I didn’t agree with the Myth of the 20c guys about a forever war in Ukraine until Louis broke it down. However what I think what is missing from both calculations is the start of a hot proxy war with China. It’s disappointing to hear the meme of an artillery shell shortage is not accurate, but it’s also impressive that Russia can by itself keep pace with the US and it’s satrap states. In many instances the russians have left open a single path for ukrainian retreat or for rearmament to mow down the opposition. Eventually military age Ukrainians will run out and force Nato to choose between escalation (Poland & Nato all in or retreat). Poland and Nato all in will also help Putin justify a much larger conscription force. China, North Korea, Iran and Syria will also be forced to decide whether they enter a much wider war or cuck to the americans.
