sben I really enjoyed the audio gear talk. Have you thought about using a software compressor in real-time? Only downside is you have to balance quality (oversampling) with latency.
addition: I know you record and post the show without spending much time editing, but check out Stereo Tool by Thimeo. It’s UH-MAZIN’ and it’s what I use when mixing podcasts. It can work in real-time and I rarely see it in use outside of some FM and AM stations.

The stressful part is trying to be able to afford everything & trying to make sure everything is perfect. For me it’s the cost. It’s hard on a widowed mom with 3 kids. And trying to satisfy everyone, but mostly it’s the guilt feeling like I didn’t do enough.
Christmas is about the time together and the thought. I know that’s hard to tell kids. When they get older they’ll appreciate the thoughtful gifts they’ve been given over the dumb expensive crap.
I know. And my kids aren’t greedy but again, it’s my guilt. Anywho, i spazzed my personal feels all over the Internet again. Damnit. Sorry y’all.
