I am really curious about your chimney situation… Do you not have a brick chimney? You need a wood stove and a steel liner to vent it. Then your house will get warm…
So you must have a wood stove with a pipe venting it out the side of your house? If it’s not heating up nicely there’s something wrong with your dampering system or you have a very leaky house. I have lots of experience 3 years heating with coal in 10 years heating with wood although my furnace is only 8 years old. I’ve had professional installations and inspections and I’ve also installed my own pipe properly and clean it every year with help.
