I forget when “early modern” starts but effectively Shakespeare is early modern. Modernity proper would begin with the French Revolution, or that’s the way it was divided when I was in grad school.

There’s a feral cat I have seen in my yard. The poor thing has this fluid build-up around his neck and face that doesn’t seem to be getting any better. Probably getting worse.
Animals don’t have access to antibiotics: even if you can one shot another animal they only need to give you a scratch and it’s over for you. Smart animals are pussies except when they’re not.

My Mom gave us kids homeopathic remedies and they all look like little white balls. But, I have to say that we grew up healthy. Not sure if they worked but they didn’t hurt. I was probably the most frequently sick in my life during my time in the Army, but then I was never often sick in general. So for my children we’ve sworn off of vaccines and drugs as much as possible. We do give them vitamins and healthy food. So far so good.

Also Mike you should look into myofascial release exercises for the sciatica. That’s what a physical therapist will tell you. in a lot of cases the nerve is being pinched by your tendons and deep stretching and myofascial exercises for those specific tendons will help you greatly.
