After reading chapter 35 of “The Fin-De-Siècle World” by Michael Saler (The chapter titled ‘The Jewish fin de siècle’) I am of the mind that the entire phenomena was centered around backlash against liberalism due to recognition by many gentile political thinkers that liberalism led to emancipation of the jews and the jews were destroying Europe. A lot of the criticisms some people in the past of “Europe is selling the rope they tie their noose with” regarding Europe giving others technology is implying that somehow only they’re able to come up with it. The Song Dynasty invented gunpowder and gunpowder weapons. They had an early form of industrialization. Nothing of that sort will be set in stone.
