Personally if you love something you buy it to own it. That being said being a Star Trek fan myself , I own every series on physical disc, DVD and BluRay. Noone should be paying for streaming since its bs these days when you can hit torrent sites , they still exist and still strong. Most are private now to keep the bad actors out.

It’s never confirmed and feels as if it was left ambiguous, for the the viewer to question the whole act, as it was based purely on an emotional response. An intense scene to be sure.
